Roosevelt Room & Online
This program is presented in partnership with the Acton Memorial Library with options to attend in person at the Maynard Library or via Zoom.
We’ll explore women Impressionist painters beginning with the only three women who exhibited with the French Impressionists in the late 19th century, Berthe Morisot, Marie Bracquemond, and Mary Cassatt, the only American to exhibit with the French Impressionists. We’ll also study the paintings of Eva Gonzalès, a student of Edouard Manet. American women “Impressionists” will be represented in the paintings by Lilla Cabot Perry, Cecilia Beaux, and Matilda Browne.
