Monday August 29-Monday September 26
During Library Hours
Roosevelt Room
Two dozen original art photos featuring birds of prey, songbirds, owls, water fowl, and others will be on display. The big, colorful images are submitted by active members of the Assabet Valley Camera Club. These members include many accomplished, prize-winning shutterbugs, as well as eager beginners trying to hone their skills at home and abroad. The highly colorful and fascinating bird species on display will include images of birds of prey in action and songbirds (some building new nests), plus others that are only seen in distant lands.
The camera club has many members (veteran photographers and beginners alike) who live in Maynard and surrounding communities. Their large framed images will be on public display–and for sale–and are suitable for home decoration or graceful and interesting gifts. Some of the income generated by sales of the photos will be donated directly to the Maynard Public Library, helping the library to continue serving the community.
