Fugitive Comedy hosts some of the best and brightest comics working in the Boston area and nationally. The comedians who have joined us have appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, David Letterman, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Last Comic Standing, America’s Got Talent, Comedy Central, The Jim Jeffries Show, Comedy Bang! Bang! Live! Podcast, NPR’s Commonwealth Journal, Lifetime’s Girls Night Out — and have opened for numerous well-known comedians in clubs around the nation.
Headliner Jon Rineman has performed on “The Tonight Show,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “Gotham Comedy Live.” He is a professor of Screenwriting and Comedic Arts at Emerson College. Prior to that, he served as Head Monologue Writer for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” from 2014–18, and joined the original writing staff of “Late Night” in 2009, creating the recurring segment “Audience Suggestion Box.” In addition to being a regular at The Comedy Studio in Harvard Square and The Comedy Cellar in New York City, Jon has headlined numerous clubs across the U.S. and Canada, and has opened for David Spade, Jimmy Fallon, Gary Gulman, Anthony Jeselnik and Michael Ian Black. He has also written material for Jay Leno, Seth Meyers, World Wrestling Entertainment, and Sir Paul McCartney.
Host Steve Scarfo is a more than 20 year veteran of the Boston Comedy Scene and was noticed by The Boston Globe at his first performance. He has worked all over New England, including Comedy Connection in Boston and Portland, Nicks Comedy Stop in Boston, Laugh Boston, Comix, North Shore Comedy and Headliners Comedy Clubs, Laugh New England and with Laugh Riots Productions. Steve has worked with many national acts including Dave Coulier, Victoria Jackson, Jeff Dunham, Lenny Clarke, and Bob Marley. He appeared in the A&E real life drama “Caesars 24 / 7,” figured prominently in the Red Sox World Series MasterCard commercial, and appears in several movies Including “Fever Pitch,” “The Departed,” and “The Fighter.”
Mike Karsok is a young Boston-based comic making an impression on the scene. His comedy is a blend of hilarious observations along with his unique perspective on life. He has performed at The Comedy Studio and The Cabot Theater and has shared the stage with Paul Nardizzi and Justin McKinney.
Patty Gould — affectionally know as FPG because of her challenged time management skills — has been performing comedy for the past 10 years throughout New England. She can be found on any given weekend telling her glass-half-full takes of living life as FPG with all of the top comedy legends of Boston. With family in Maynard, she’s excited to be featured at Sanctuary.
