Joe Bargar and The Soul Providers Featuring Danielle Miraglia
The Sanctuary stage will be hosting a band of Boston music legends on the first Thursday of the month through June. In March, Danielle Miraglia will be the featured guest performer.
“Straddling the line where folk/roots meets rock/blues, Miraglia has a voice that can go from a raspy come-hither purr to an Etta James-esque powerhouse belt” — Boston Globe Danielle Miraglia has toured and played major venues across the United States and beyond, shining in both the Folk and Blues circuits. She comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson and an infectious stomp-box rhythm with tunes ranging from heart-felt to socially conscious that will move both your heart and hips. She has opened for Buddy Guy, George Thorogood, Joan Osborne, John Oates, Colin Hay, John Mayall, Johnny Winter, Bettye Lavette, John Hammond Jr., Sonny Landreth, Robert Cray, Rodney Crowell and performed side stages at events with The Black Crowes, Mary J Blige, The Indigo Girls and many more. Danielle was a name the 2021 New England Music Awards “Blues Act of the Year” winner.
Joe Bargar is a veteran of the New England music scene. Having grown up in Providence, RI, Joe had the opportunity to appear with such legendary acts as Roomful of Blues, Scott Hamilton, Duke Robillard, James Montgomery, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Living in New York City for decades, Joe played with performers including Sly &The Family Stone, Robbie Robertson, blues greats Otis Rush, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Son Seals, and John Lee Hooker; and soul masters Percy Sledge, Clarence Carter, and Solomon Burke. He can also be heard on several recordings, including those by Diana Ross and “Late Show” bandleader Paul Shaeffer.
