On Exhibit April 11 – April 30
Exhibit of watercolor seascapes by the late artist Sandra Wilensky. Sandra’s passionate devotion to and career in education spanned over six active decades. She was a teacher in Sudbury and Acton, a principal in Acton at the Merriam School for fourteen years, and a talented watercolorist who taught painting to students of all ages at area museums and community centers after her retirement.
“My watercolor painting is an expression of my appreciation of nature. I am drawn to seascapes and have a particular fondness for islands. The sea, sand, dunes and sky have always been creative inspiration for me, as well as my ultimate source of relaxation and rejuvenation. The edge of the sea has always been the place I best connect with myself and find a sense of fulfillment. My goal as an artist is to provide the viewer with the same sense of inner peace that I experience while walking the beach or sitting on the sand and looking out to sea.”
